Settled

Finally, the new norm seem to have more or less settled in :) If feels good that everything is back to 'normal' again.. or at least as close to normal as it's ever been..

Upon completion of the full circle today, I felt a sense of accomplishment.

Joy! :)

Twice in Two Days

It's been a while since I had (needed) so much 'therapy'... I guess the fact that the session today was brought to a 'forced' stop warranted the need for at least one more session. But honestly, I do wonder if it'll be real soon or will I have to wait for sometime before that takes place. Im hoping for the former but then again that's probably all I can do.. hope... The thing about rollercoaster rides is that it may go up/down/up again/down again but in the end it will come to a stop. You may feel dizzy/sick for awhile... and depending on whether you were dumb enough to eat a whole lot before the ride.. you may even end up puking.. but after that, normality will resume.

So the question is: Why do we take rollercoaster rides?
Is the adrenaline rush worth the aches? (you wouldnt believe how much one ride can hurt sometimes... G-forces and all) And why do some people keep going back time and again despite all that?
Are we humans just masochists deep down?

Answering questions with questions.. really leads you nowhere..

But one question I finally took the time to seek out the answer is:
Who (in the world) invented the roller coaster?
Answer: Turns out there's no simple answer. It was not invented by any one guy.. and even historians are abit conflicted as to whether it was invented by the Russians or the French. So there you go.. One question asked.. answered not by a question..but still really doesnt lead you anywhere.

End of the Year ... almost...

It's weird how since I've came here.. the end of the year is not so much defined by the calender but by the completion of another school year.. So right now, I have officially completed three of the five courses I am taking this sem.. One more day to the last day of my third year in uni.. The year went by in a blink! Too fast.. The up side is that it's been a pretty good year (I think).. Isnt that what they say? Good times pass faster?

Was planning out my timetable for next year and I realized that the number of hours I'll be spending attending classes is surprisingly low! Does that mean we're expected to do more reading in our own time? Or are they just giving us more time to work on the project course? The one course that's driving me up the wall before I'm even enrolled in it.. sigh.. Truly I can only hope things will work out..

In any case, I think sometimes I have a tendency to neglect the present.. I live in the past.. and I live in(for) the future.. But what about the present?
Maybe I need to concentrate on right here, right now a little more?

SHU

My confinement (not the other confinement) plan has not quite worked out just yet. SHU or no SHU at least some of the work is done. Do need to get down to reading the article.. Karen said she totally didnt get it the first time she read it.. Not good news at all considering I wasnt planning to read it that many times..

Forgot to bring the wrong cheque to the clinic today in my rush to get there before 12. Sigh.. Somehow my timing seem to be a few minutes off today.

How come everyone is going to China these days? It's like THE place to go if you're travelling.. Is it the food? The scenery? The shopping? The not so horribly long (>10 hrs) flight? I wonder..
