All Good Things Must Come to an End...

The last week has been full of highs.. and in the last 24 hrs.. It's been filled with it's fair share of lows.

The hunt turned from a YES! To a maybe... to probably not...

The job turned from a WOW! To so-so... to .......*sigh*

The interview/project/and everything else seems to be heading down the same direction..

But if there's something I've learnt recently, it's:

1. If you dont try... there's no chance whatsoever!
2. Failure hurts (like hell).. but it doesnt kill!
3. Try first.. If it you succeed then good for you...
If you fail... then you'd have learnt something at the very least.

Positivity matters... So does doing your "homework" :p

Today in history:

"I'm so excited! I just cant hide it.. I'm about to lose control and I think I LIKE IT..."

Well in reality I got sooo excited I had to jump jump jump!! My poor neighbours downstairs :p

Was riding on a cloud.............

and then..........

Shock of my life.... He turned out to be a GUY!

Hahahahahahaa... *how embarrasing*

I really need to get my "names and associated gender" straight next time!

What is wrong with me?

I woke up this morning.. saw how bright it was outside.. checked my clock and somehow convinced myself that it is not running properly (even though I'd just changed the battery a couple of days back). So I crawled out of bed to check my watch. Saw that it was EIGHT plus, gave myself a pat in the back for having the common sense to check my watch and somehow figure out that there's something wrong with my alarm clock and head to the washroom.

As I was going through my morning routine, I started to think that there is the slightest possibility that I might have screwed up the time (and this wont be the first time it's happening) So after I'm done, I once again check my watch AND the time on my comp and this time it says SEVEN plus!! Ah! THE PAIN! I needed that extra sleep!

Lesson of the morning: (Too often) the eyes see what the mind wants it to see! So the saying "Seeing is believing" should be interpreted as: you're seeing something because you believe in it! (not the other way around)

What a day! The weather was good... not great coz it was drizzling for the most part of the day... or raining by Canadian standards but it wasnt cold! :) Got a nice lunch prepared for me.. Thank you :D

Finally finished the video on MDMA or better known as Ecstacy or E. Isnt it ironic that the guy who introduced this drug to the world studied to be a priest? I didnt quite understand that part either... but he said he had three callings in his life.. 1. Studying to be a priest (I forgot his exact words) 2. Marrying his wife (more puzzles.. why would a guy who studied to be a priest get married?) 3. Ecstacy (he even coined that name!). Also learnt how dishonest the US government is (haha.. nothing new there I guess)

I was wondering earlier if he was built or big.. a minute later I realized I'd probably never find out.. and THEN wonder of wonders... one hour later he stepped out in a nice FITTING shirt (not too tight)! and WOW!

Lesson of the day: If you "wish" (or wonder) hard enough... you might just get it (find out).. hahahaha..

Fake Advertisements

We always know advertisements are fake.. They are made to show the advertised product in the best possible light.. Keyword: possible! So more often than not products we purchased are not exactly (sometimes even quite far from) the same one we saw in the advertisements. But that's all good cause we know advertisements are made to attract buyers.

But today... I learnt the extent of how fake it can get!

Remember the good old Oreo Cookie ad? The one where one kid was teaching the other kid how to enjoy his Oreo... "Twist it... Lick it... and DUNK!"

Well I tried it out today (for first time) and it's all a lie! Do you know how much effort it takes to twist and separate the two pieces??! Geez.. I definitely dont remember seeing the kid struggling to twist! His came off like nobody's business!

And then there's the licking part.. Remember how the cream only stays on one side of the cookie? HA! You've guessed it.. another LIE! When the cookies separate.. both sides will have cream. It doesnt come off nice and smooth on just one side..

So the conclusion:
That Oreo ad is a big lie! But at the end of the day I'll still eat it anyway... Afterall it's not like I have the time to twist, lick and dunk everytime I eat it right? :p
