Now some units have their own (extremely tiny) 'backyard'. All walled up with a gate. The plus would be passers-by wouldnt be able to look into their apartments and no more worries about people breaking in through the windows.. haha.. so I heard had been a worry for a "slightly paranoid" ex-resident. But the bad thing is it looks even sadder than before. All you see when you look out the window is very ugly looking planks.. well maybe it's not that much worse than looking at the wall or the bicycle shade but still..

Been bored.. so I decided to come up with an observation. Bertina and I seem to share 3 levels of 'extremes':
1. Very similar -- taste and interest in shoes (and sometimes shopping?) Important for girl-outings
2. Moderately overlapping -- taste in food. We are agreeable on the type of food (ie style of cooking) but not necessarily the ingredients. Good for passing over stuff one or the other doesnt like.
3. Very different -- taste in men. Hahaha.. not a bad thing..

Went to Restaurant Malaysia for dinner on Friday. Talk about good food! :p~ Especially liked the "wat tan hor'' (think it's as close as it can get to those back in M'sia) and hainanese chicken rice (which I've been craving!) Also had the roti and some of the usual stuff. Ahh.. now if only it's more accessible..
Ended up going out the whole of Saturday though for the most part it was actually spent doing bead-work while Sharina goes for her lessons. I'm impressed by how much activities kids nowadays are involved in. I dont think I've had that much activities ever - not even during holidays. Maybe this is what they mean by optimize and maximize. But I guess it's not something that comes easy for lazy people (read: me)
Weather has taken a turn for the better this week. Much cooler.. maybe summer is finally over...

Anyway, if you think you're a strong believer in equal rights for everyone, think again. Your conscious mind might think you're fair but your subconscious might say otherwise.. You can take a test to find out. (Was somewhat tired when I took the tests.. not sure how that factors in... but some of the results were certainly unexpected)

The reason I'm drinking is because we bought some recently and then Bertina discovered that she cant drink beer!! Weird thing is she can take alcohol, just not beer. Why? I have absolutely no idea. But me and my lousy alcohol resistance.. so now I'm feeling really hot and I'm flushed almost as red as the shirt I'm wearing after one bottle (minus a few gulps).. and bleh.. this honey beer doesnt taste good.. (and why is it called honey beer when there is not one bit of honey taste/smell? To trick unknowing consumers like me?) Also, I think my head is starting to throb... Maybe I drank too fast? (or maybe lousy doesnt even begin to describe my resistance?hahaha)
I did manage to use up some of my pent up energy earlier tonight when I 'stalked' a guy all the way from College on Spadina. Hehee.. I've only consciously started the 'stalking' after he turned in on Baldwin.. I mean he was right there and it was on the way for me.. why not right? So I kept following him.. He didnt seem too bothered or at least he didnt show it if he was (But I guess I wouldnt be either if I was in his shoes.. afterall how threatening can a 5'' 2 girl - not to mention my size - be?) Anyway, half-way through Baldwin, I concluded he probably lives in the same building as me.. So when he turned on McCaul (presumably heading towards the main entrance), I decided I'd take the side entrance for the heck of it and meet him in the lobby.. for the final 'scare'.. He did come in the main entrance but the scare didnt work cause he headed for the elevator before I actually got to the lobby. Bleh.. Then he turned back to check his mail after I got to the lobby but it was no fun anymore.. Geez... These people need to learn that they should check their mail as they come in, then head for the elevator.. cause then the timing would be just right! BAM! Right in his face.. maybe even flash him a scary smile/look.. hahaha..
Observation of the day: (I thought I might as well make the most out of what I had learnt in PSL302 while I can still remember) There's something wrong with the sympathetic innervation of my GI tract. Technically speaking, when the sympathetic pathway is activated (i.e. in stressful situations - fight or flight) the GI motility is supposed to decrease (i.e. food takes longer to digest).. I would think that an exam is a stressful enough situation (for me). Yet, even though I always eat before I go in for an exam (usually 2 sometimes 3 hrs), I'll end up hungry almost right after...if not during! My weird stomach..
Hypothesis: My productivity level (in this case we measure hours of study and ability to process and retain what I studied) for a certain day is determined by how I kick start my day. I.e. if the first thing I do after going through my morning routine is sit down and study then it'll be productive day for me. But if I decide to start the day by reading news or something interesting over breakfast then it'll be a less than productive day. Worse still, if I decide to play a game over breakfast, then chances are it'll be an extremely unproductive day of studying.
Conditions imposed: Applicable near/during exam period
Duration of experiment: 2 weeks
Conclusion: Based on statistical analysis of data collected, ( p > 0.05 for t-test........) the above hypothesis has been accepted on the condition that the experiment will be repeated again at an appropriate time in the future.

Also read a canto blog.. I'd say it's easier to read.. But still not easy.. Both very funny though.. I could sure use a laugh or two (or a couple more) and some time-out from stupid physio..
Then I saw this:

Hahahaha...
But it has been a long time since it was that bad..

That lead to two conclusions: 1) It's still in my room (hiding in the heater? since its the only place we didnt/couldnt search) or 2) It's gone out of my room and escaped through the hole (since we couldnt find it after the house-search) The hole happens to be a huge gap in my bathroom cabinet under the sink that's covered with a cardboard... why this is so? I have no idea. But it's been like that since we moved in. It hadn't bothered us (until now that is) cause we dont make use of the cabinet anyway.
Tonight's biggest revelation however is Bertina's fear of rats/mouse.. hehe.. totally unexpected. For some reason, I'd thought she'd handle it pretty ok... Afterall we are sort of "rat(s)" ourselves :p

Today's the last day of class for this summer. The good news was we got to go off early and our marks for the 3rd test are going up again.. this time for everyone. But the bad news is the average is probably a little high now (so that probably means a not-so-easy final exam is in store for us on Tuesday)
Have not been productive at all the past few days... But for some reason I'm not panicking yet (even though I'm technically behind schedule.. Have yet to decide if it's a good thing) Think I'm supposed to meet Phil on Monday to go over some of the stuff.. So that means I have 3 days to 'finish up everything'??! Not enough time!!

Why Do Men Have Nipples? Hundreds of Questions You'd Only Ask A Doctor After Your Third Martini by Mark Leyner & Billy Golberg M.D.
I wanna read this book!! Haha.. Just read the excerpt.. a funny and informative book.. What more can you ask for? The only bad thing is I'll have to wait til after next Tuesday (after the much dreaded Physio exam).. Sigh.. Which reminds me I'm supposed to be studying now...

Lesson of the day: If you dont know something, ask! In my case, Bertina is a good choice :)
A night of body art and photo shots...

... the end product of two girls with two cameras, hennas and too much time..

Spent the day in G studying. Unfortunately I wasnt overly productive. I think it's partly due to the fact that I woke up this morning at 6.45 am! (Haha.. Good thing it wasnt at 6 though I guess or else he'd be laughing his ass off again) But not really much of a consolation.
Today is a "short"-day... for some reason everybody just seemed tall today.. like every single person! Or at least I felt short enough today that everyone seemed taller... Sigh... I havent had "short"-days in a long long time.. the last one I remember having was in Taylor's when I was supposed to meet xp for lunch and ended up walking with this whole bunch of people, all of whom are taller than me by at least one whole head. lol That was a fun day though...

Took me forever to go back to sleep. And then I ended up having this really weird dream. (Abit Alice in Wonderland sort of dream) It's the first time I have a dream like this. I saw animals and toys that talk.. even the characters from South Park! (I remember seeing Kenny) haha..
