im back from ipoh... and i brought the usual 'souvenir'... not the kind i like :( my legs are 'decorated' with red spots here and there... (it almost looks like im wearing a polka dotted skin coloured legging... a very ugly one i should add... *shudder*... what a scary thought) but yeah... its ugly and itchy! damn mozzies!
the trip was quite ok.. managed to eat just about everything i wanted to eat in ipoh except the hk chee cheong fun at the stadium. had wat tan hor the for dinner on saturday... somehow it no longer taste as good as it used to... but we did discover a new place that made quite a mean 'sang min'! mmm mmmmmm...
happenings :
one lady came into the shop and asked for boss's wife(i.e my aunt) but my aunt was out in the market, so i told her that. she didnt believe me (do i look like a liar? or maybe i wasnt so convincing since i was only guessing myself :p ) anyway, she asked the boss (my uncle) and he told her she's out in the market. then she turns back and asks me... since when did you start working here? haha... (this lady is prolly one of the newer customers... coz all the 'older' ones usually just step into the shop and start the usual : you're 1st brother's daughter? or 2nd one? school holiday ah? hehe...)
true to my tradition, (and my recent run of destroying things) i accidentally dropped a bag of dhall-like-beans that i weighed and spilt its contents. thankfully that was the only thing i really 'broke' this time. the other beans and stuff reached the shelf safely :p
i suspect that i might have some kind of sleep problem. didnt sleep well the two nights in ipoh. not used to the bed? never really had that problem before. hai...
tk and kx brightened my day... one on saturday and one on sunday! its almost as if they knew i was bored to my bones :p oh... anyhow im just thankful.
that about summarizes my trip... i guess it wasnt really that bad. but compared to last time... i certainly have had better trips. it feels like so long ago when all the cousins work together in the sundry shop... stocking up the shelves, weighing the salt and stuff, sticking price tag... on the products... and on each other of coz :p haha... (brian did that to me once in chem lab. took me by suprised. haha... like reliving old times)
thinking if its possible for me to go for the treasure hunt trip the first weekend of august. hope my sis wanna go... really really wanna go for one more game before i leave this time... *fingers crossed*

its PROVEN... beyond doubt i'm ABOVE a 1st class destroyer! im the female version of Hercules (herculisa? hahaha... or herculina? *both also very funny!lol*)... or as john would say... HIMcules... hahahhaa... anyway in simple english it just means im the ultimate 'cho loh' woman... sad but true...
today i broke one of the 'inside door' of my fridge... thats the second time i broke something in the past few days... dunno what my dad's going to say... im too high maintanence? :p
crashed wen ing's house this afternoon to celebrate her b'day (along with the usual few). too bad her mom is going out tonight so she has to stay home to look after her niece and nephews. her brother recently had triplets!! 2 girls and a boy... hehe.. so cute! but i personally think three at a time is a lil too much... oh well i guess you dont really have a say in this kinda things...
anyway, hoay chee picked me up along with her 2 year old sister. haha... its really comical to look at the two of them... they are so alike... guess thats what you get when you have an elder sis like THAT to raise you. haha..
had cake and dinner with them before coming home. shrek2... postponed another day :p had thai food for dinner... not that great compared to those i have had before.
watched 'the day after tomorrow' with mei mei, wen ing, siew ling and soi poh last night... the story itself wasnt that great. but since im watching for the effects.. i guess its ok... only wished it was out about a month earlier... since its talking about the things i studied in the last few chapters of bio. would have helped me study a lot better... or so i'd like to think ;p
had dinner with soi poh before the movie... it was nice to catch up. well more like gossip since she keeps talking about other ppl's stuff. haha...but still... hoay chee... always fun to have her around.
finally finished the ahriman's prophecy yesterday... stupid game... had been addicted to it... stucked to the computer when i wasnt going out for the past few days. the ending is so 'argh!'...
feeling very tired... but its not even 10! maybe i'll go out and watch tv for a while... then go to bed.. ZZZZzzzzz....

i've been 'promoted' to 1st class destroyer! :(
was helping mom tumbuk-tumbuk kacang for the satay sauce... when i was washing up... i lifted the batu giling and accidentally knocked it against the tap... the whole thing BROKE!!! goodness.. water everywhere... i dunno whether to laugh or to cry... honestly i did find the situation quite funny at first... and i definitely know where i got those genes from... coz my mom was laughing too. hehe.. but dad... hmm... he wasnt so pleased with the situation... well nothing i can do really. its a sunday.. evening at that... all the hardware shops are closed... so its impossible to find a replacement... well somehow dad managed to dig out an old tap from i dunno when... so its stuck in place temporarily.. honestly very guilty about what happened... and i still dont understand how it happened. i absolutely did NOT exert any force whatsoever. and i've never considered myself to be a very strong person... even when im trying hard! hai...
have stayed at home for the past few days. and still waiting for renee to tell me if i need to be down in kl by next week. kx asked me to attend her string concert on the 29th july in sg. will probably go if nothing super important comes up. which will work out well since ys is coming back on the 10th july for two weeks. will spend some time with her then go on my trip south :) sounds like a good plan. hehe...

went to watch 'troy' with stef, hwa chin and alyssa today. (and alyssa's classmate jane) in gsc. stef wanted to tryout the premier class... so we all did... yeah.. so it has bigger seats... and more space for food... but at the end of the day the most important thing was missing... a larger screen!! whats the use of such a large seat if your butt isnt that huge? whats the use of all the extra place to put food when you dont eat while watching movies in cinema? (at least i dont).
anyway... talking abt the movie...there were parts when i thought it was kinda 'slow'... but overall i guess its quite ok... i thought the trojan horse didnt look that nice... stef argued that they built it 'out of nothing'. haha.. as for the actors, orlando bloom still doesnt interest me... however i did notice eric bana :p~ haha... hector's simple motto for life 'honour the gods, love your woman and fight for your country'
then had lunch at nando's... not too bad... then rushed back coz hwa chin gotta be at work by 5. banged my knee on the bus. the leg space was soo small... i think my knee is my weak spot... like achilles's heels. hehe... i seem to get them bruised often 'effortlessly' :p
my results finally came out today... disappointing. below what i was hoping for... hai... bt tk is such a nice guy... really glad to have a friend like him:) was sms-ing... mentioned that my results are out and they are not too good... and he called to check and see if i was alright (from jb). how sweet.. especially when he's having some problems himself.
forgotten once again to get blank cds to burn stuff on. really wanna clear my notebook off the stuff... seems to be running slower nowadays... cant take the heat either? ;p
well hope renee calls soon to confirm if she wants me down in kl by the 29th. feeling a lil tired... bed time i guess...

jetlag is supposed to get better with time isnt it? then how come i woke up at 7 smt 4 days after i arrive... when i woke up at 8 smt the past 3 days?
anyway, had lousy sleep last night... weird dream or should i say nightmare(s)...
the creepiest one was of one of my friends killing another friend... he was murdered quite brutally and left soaking in the bath tub. pretty scary..
met stef, hwa chin, ranita, hoay chee and azileen yesterday in pacific. didnt do much.. walked around abit helping ranita find the right t-shirt for her friend's b'day. had lunch.. then sat down and talked.
it striked me how my friends here have not changed one bit. physically i mean. its almost as if they've frozen in time since... 2001? others who've gone somewhere else.. then come back will have definitely changed somewhat... fatter/thinner/diff way of dressing/etc. except hwa chin though.. even though she's gone to singapore and back.. she has not changed one bit! not even her hair length. lol
need to start copying down some recipes to bring back... but i've been very lazy lately... procrastinating ALOT. could it be the heat? (:p looking for excuses)
will be going over to ai kim's place tomorrow.. havent seen her is such a long time! she was my first friend in penang :) maybe thats why we can still talk so much so easily even though we havent met/talked in such a long time... am really glad to have friends like that... definitely dont mind having a few more of those :D

today's been a pretty good day! its supposed to be my brother's birthday... but thats not what made it good :p
finally decided to go out and get my new sim card... 016-406 7 604... i like the number! :D then i decided to try out the new phone my dad gave me... i've never been a fan of nokia... have always preferred siemens... (maybe its coz both the phones i've ever owned were siemens.. haha) anywayz.. found out that this nokia phone isnt as bad as those i've tried before... which is a good thing i guess... the pro(s)... its lighter than my siemens, no antenna, smaller, longer lasting battery, tri-band and its a coloured phone. the con(s) takes me some time to find what i need (coz im not used to the functions), really sucky ring tones and really REALLY sucky ring tones :P
the other good thing was... dad finally bought me a digital camera! woo! haha... well ok... so its not a 5.0 mega pixel one that i'd love to own... but well i guess a 3.2 one will do just fine :) im happy...
on the down side.. both my friends who were supposed to drop by my place couldnt make it. oh well... there's always another day. will be going out tomorrow to meet stef and co. hehe.. at least i know someone who wont 'ppk' :p

Im HOME! :) the trip back was quite ok. sat beside this guy all the way from toronto to hk. he was friendly and helpful... we chatted on and off along the way.
woke up early on the 10th... tried to call mei mei to wish her happy b'day.. spent half an hour trying to get her.. but couldnt. decided i dont have anymore time so i decided i'll just have to wish her when i get back... its not like i didnt try. went to eaton's bought kx's b'day present. then went to wal-mart to get the box. met edmund there. remembered i needed to get ice wine so had to travel back to LCBO on dundas. bought 2 bottles. went back. pack up the last bit and was done before 3. tried to rush the 'love generation'... finished ep 7. copied the rest.
john and choot came over... went to campus and took some photos. it was fun. rushed back to get to the airport. had some problems with the ttc. stupid bus. so was late to check in...did not get to sit with py coz of some check-in probs... .. john, bob and apple sent us off at the airport. choot walked us to the subway station... very nice of them to send us off.
planned to meet bertina in hk since we're both going to be in hong kong around the same time. but didnt see her there. didnt sleep on the flight from hong kong to kl. something wrong with the sound system on the plane.. so talked to py most of the way. arrived in KLIA at 12.30. called home to tell mom i've arrived in kl. had to wait til 5 for my connecting flight to pg. the flight was short and punctual.
its so hot here... have both the air cond and the fan on in my room. i dunno how im going to survive the next three months.. really turn nocturnal? :p but even in the evening its still pretty warm... hai...

been rotting the past week away...
moved out of chestnut on the 1st.. into kitiya's place.. its a really nice place :) not feeling too good about taking over her bed. was aching all over on the 2nd. went out to celebrate bertina's b'day on the 3rd... in korean town .. jinmirak... food was ok.. didnt do much after that.
been catching the hk pilot drama series the past few days... hoping to be able to finish it before i go home. have yet to go shopping for 'very canadian' things to bring back.. bt at least now i have ice wine and another 'end of season' (? forgot what edmund called it) wine as alternatives to maple syrup and maple syrup candy.
just had an 'international' foodfest in kitiya's place... kinda like a farewell before she flies off to US tomorrow. she cooked pad thai and tom soup just now.. spicy! apple cooked green curry and a desert... with banana and coconut milk... toh cooked lap... also spicy... and oak cooked his famous 'oak's squid soup! :D i made dumplings and edmund made dessert... ice crush (that's what i call it) and sagu with gula melaka.... everything was pretty good! yum... damon was complaining how we eat so fast... like its a competition. lol
oh well.. im in edmund's place now.. checking mail... its the 5th already... cant believe that im going to be flying off in 5 more days.. mixture of feelings..
having issues lately... tired of the way things are... tired of many things... oh well.. im waiting for the tired til i dont care phase to kick in... not that it has before... but i sure hope it will this time... coz thats what i really want... to absolutely not give a damn... well guess we'll just have to see how it goes...
