Just another day...

i need to get down to work... i've been totally lazyyy the past few days.. but i cant seem to get myself to sit down and start... hai..

well a little recap of the past week..

went to rom yesterday with bertina, py and phil to look at pearls.. it was ok.. but wayyy too many people.. so it was packed and stuffy... and i wasnt feeling too well by the end of the tour... not enough oxygen maybe :p

then on thurday night i attempted my first cheesecake!! :) and it turned out quite good! (if i may say so myself :p... but so far it's gone through 3 other quality control(lers)... and it PASSED! lol.. one more to go... maybe...)

went for my first linguistics class and the lecturer was pretty fun.. he puts up comic strips in his slides.. i think im going to enjoy taking this course..

also think the hmb lecturer is pretty good.. but she goes wayyyyy too fast. its impossible to write down all the important things she's saying AND keep up with her slides.. so thank god for recordings :)

lab starts next week :( so i'll have to be up very early every wednesday from now on til april.. hai.. and i have my test schedules already.. sucky... i have a test on the first day of cny!!(which is also a wednesday... so on top of that i'll have chem lab at 8.30 in the morning)

now im considering buying a humidifier.. its so dry i actually feel suffocated in the middle of the night sometimes (especially since i cant leave my window wide open coz its cold!) and my throat feels sooooo dry in the morning it hurts.. bad... maybe 10 x worse since i already have a sore throat.. hai...

ok i've wasted the whole day away.. havent done anything productive at all.. and i cant afford to go on like this.... this is the reason why i have to end up cramming the night before a test/exam.. i always procrastinate... leave everything undone til the last minute! bad habit!

and so the New Year has begun....


today's the first day of classes... the good news is andy dicks is still going to be teaching chem until the 7th week.. yay!:) need to get adjusted to his accent again though.. havent heard it in a year already :p pcl was nice.. even though i thought the lecturer looked a lil gay.. lol.. which in fact he's not.. coz he has a wife (who happens to be an engineer) he seems like a nice prof.. bio was ok.. but i havent attended 2 hours lectures for so long.. my back was aching before the end... maybe the fact that i had been sitting most of the day (plus a half hour before the start of the lecture) didnt help :p

i have dropped history for linguistics.. hopefully it wont be a wrong choice.. so now my classes start at 1pm everyday of the week except wednesdays.. where i have labs in the morning (8.30 or 9.. sucky!) so i guess that probably also means i'll be sleeping later and waking up later most days of the week..

the bad news though is that i wont be able to absolutely live on a budget this month.. coz i have textbooks (and class/lab notes) to buy! ugh.. textbooks soo darn expensive! bloodsucker!
